Raj has over 18 years of experience in Ayurvedic medicine and integrating yoga, exercise, and nutritional therapy for lifestyle changes. His workshops will draw on his experience using yoga in the health care field, and will explain how all the aspects of yoga work together for our overall health.
This 5 part workshop series will run Sundays from 1:30 – 3:00 PM on February 2, 9, 16, 23, and March 1.

Fundamentals of pranayama (yogic breathing techniques) , different types of pranayama, pranavam – the techniques to help with yogic breathing, Benefits of different kinds of pranayama and what works best individually, health benefits of different kinds of breathing.
March 1: Foundations of Meditation
Fundamentals of meditation, mind, body, senses and meditation, inner and outer worlds of yogic meditation
Rajesh Ramnath has over 18 years of experience in Ayurvedic medicine and integrating yoga, exercise, and nutritional therapy for lifestyle changes. After doing an Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine for India, which is 5 1/2 year course, Rajesh went on to do a Master’s degree in 3 different disciplines Yoga from India, Cardiovascular Rehabilitation from UK, Health Services research and epidemiology for Cornell USA. Rajesh also holds an Fellowship in Nutrition and Post graduated diploma in Applied yogic sciences. Rajesh has been using yoga with a special interest of using yoga in cardiovascular disorders, neurological ailments, rheumatic diseases, weight loss, thyroid disorders and for stress relief. With a CYA-E-RYT GOLD, CYA-AYURVEDA Rajesh teaches internationally, lectures at conferences, writes articles for difference publications, and has does research on yoga and herbal medicine.
