Using techniques in Yoga as well as Pilates to learn about and work towards your spinal health.  Inspired by the late yoga teacher Vanda Scaravelli.

The spine is always of great interest as it is our central axis and support system, it is of utmost importance that we keep the spine healthy through continued postural awareness and correction as well as exercise to keep the spine supple and mobile.

This workshop is all about the spine, learn simple yoga postures that will help to maintain the health of your spine. Understand the directions of the spine and how to move safely and correctly and why its important to do so.

Participants with spinal conditions are welcome to attend, we will discuss some special conditions like Scoliosis and Osteoporosis and some safe beneficial movements appropriate for all.

If you have back pain, special spinal conditions and/or are concerned about how to care for and keep your back strong, this is the workshop for you!

There was a yoga teacher Vanda Scaravelli who became world famous for her poignant way of presenting and embodying yoga. She wrote a book called Awakening the Spine, it is a treasure for the yogi student.  When I was studying to become a yoga teacher I fell in love with her words and ideas through her book which inspired me to create this workshop.
